Regarding notice under section 67 ndps act

Question

I was travelling in a truck as i asked for a lift. The truck was stopped at some naka and apparently some drugs were found on the truck. Initially after recording my statement i was left off but now some notice has been served under section 67 to come to police station and meet the police. Should i go?

    Section 67 of NDPS relates to calling anyone who may have information regarding a particular thing. Usually if such a notice has been issued, then it is advisable to get an anticipatory bail filed and once you get anticipatory bail then join the investigation. because when u go to join the investigation, the police or the Bureau can arrest you if anything incriminating comes up. hence even if you are innocent, you have to seek bail and get yourself protected before joining the police for further investigation under section 67 NDPS.
