Status of Illegitimate child qua the estate of biological father

My father who is a hindu by religion got married to another women without divorcing my mother. my mother filed a case of adultery which was found to be made out but because my mother did not want to give divorce, a separation order was passed directing my father to pay maintenance etc on monthly basis. later on my father died in an accident. from the second marriage which is not legal, a step daughter was born. since the second marriage in the suit filed by my mother was declared to be null and void, would my step-sister have any right over the property of my father. my father never made any will or deed etc.

    Yes. She is having right in your father property . May be second marriage of your father is declared null and void. But the child born out from that wed Lock can claim right in his property by proving that she is his child.
