Contract extension due to Corona pandemic

Question

I work for Samsung electronics India on contract. My contract is getting over on “31st” March 20, can i get an extension due to corona out break. Is it not the company’s legal responsibility.

    has your company issued any notification with regard to the contract you have with the company?
    Make a representation via mail to the concerned company headquarter seeking extension due to the corona epidemic. since the GOI has declared that no lay offs shall take place during this time, it is still doubtful whether the contractual labour can still be laid off. kindly clarify from your employer in this regard.
