Entitlement to the Assets of the Diseased (Without Will)

Question

We are 2 brothers and 2 Sisters. Our diseased father didn’t leave a will. He had a younger brother who is unmarried along with 2 sisters both of whom are married. Under such circumstances who can claim for the assets?

    If its self acquired property of your father then only  you and your brother and sisters are entitled for it. You have to get the succession certificate from the court in your favour then the assets can be transferred  in your  names. If it is ancestral property of your father then they have also entitled for his assets. So kindly clarify what’s the status of property of your father so that property advice can be given to you.
