Share in Great-Grandfather’s Property

Question

My Great Grandfather bought a house in Amritsar. He passed away in the year 1952. He had a son ( my grandfather) and 2 daughters. My Grandfather has 2 sons and 2 daughters. My Father’s older brother is reluctant to partition the property as he doesn’t wish to include his 2 sisters in the partition. We had lived in the house for more than two decades. My father is disabled now and cannot walk properly, I am seeking to build a house for him. Is it possible for me to claim my share in the property?

    File a suit for partition of the property whereby everyone will get their respective shares from the ancestral property. You can by way of the partition suit, claim your share in the said property.
