In accordance with one of the important clauses in any signed appointment letter, an employee shall not engage in any other business or work or employment, part-time or full time, remuneration, fee or honorarium. Is it possible for the employee to earn additional income, through online work for sometimes in a day?
If there is such an clause in your agreement, it is advisable that you do not engage in any other business activity. Such clauses have been held to be valid by the Supreme Court as well and hence if you get caught, you may have to pay damages to the employer along with loosing your job as well.
