Dont be afraid. Sit down face to face with your husband to settle the terms of divorce in a form of settlement agreement. on the basis of that, both the parties i.e. you and your husband will file a joint petition in the family court seeking divorce as per the compromise affected between the parties. The Court will record your statement on the first motion which is mandatory period of 6 months. in the meantime, the terms of agreement arrived at between the parties must be adhered to as per the agreement regarding payment of alimony or disposal of the loans on the name of wife etc. if you feel that the agreement is not honoured then withdraw your consent before the family court. if the consent is not withdrawn then in that case the second motion shall be started by the family court whcih is also for 6 months but can be waived by the Court at its own discretion on the presentment of an application with valid reasons.
