tenant not clearing arrear due

I am landlord if I file a case against the tenant for nonpayment of rent of 10 lakhs and the cheating case for saying that i will pay the money for many years till now no proper response from them. I have the audio and video proof to submit to judge. after judgement in court if the tenant didn’t pay the due whether she will be arrested for imprisonment . how long new tenancy act to solve problem.

For claiming arrears of the payment of rent, you have to first give a legal notice to the tenant and even within the prescribed time, the tenant does not clear the dues, a rent petition is required to be filed in the civil court of your jurisdiction. If the decision comes in your favour and even then the tenant is not paying then you will have to file execution petition wherein the Court can even order attachment of his assets for non-payment of the amount to be paid as awarded by the Court. Such orders are usually accompanied with an order for imprisonment depending on the circumstances of the case.
