As per the law, wife is entitled for permanent alimony of the amount decided by the court in case the divorce is granted. such alimony will be granted only if the wife files an application seeking permanent alimony.
further, she can claim maintenance under section 125 crpc and the court will decide whether she left on her own with a reasonable cause or not. If the court finds that there was a reasonable cause, the court can impose monthly maintenance to be granted to your wife. payment of maintenance to a wife is a statutory provision which you will have to comply in the situation she is able to prove that she is not able to maintain herself.
