Ews certificate using false income

Question

My friend While obtaining the EWS certificate didn’t mentioned the right amount of income and obtained the iews certificate stating his income to be 4 lpa whereas his real income his 7 lac he didn’t mention his job . He is now working in a govt dept is there any trouble he could face and how to minimize it ..
What is the maximum fine or jail term he might serve for this

    The EWS certificate can be issued to anyone whose family income is less than Rs. 8 lakh. Principally, your friend can be removed from the job as well however considering that even if he would have mentioned Rs. 7 Lakh, he would hav got the EWS Certificate anyways so the employer has a discretion to choose not to proceed and take legal action against your friend.
