Grand Children rights in Grandmother’s property

Question

We are Hindu family.My grandmother bought a piece of land in 1948 and My father is only a son and he acquired the same land after my grandmother’s death. Grandmother didn’t write any will or gift deed.
My father is alive. We are four siblings.
1. Is this land considered as ancestral property ?
2.Do we have any rights in the property?
3.Can my father gift the property to any one of us without the other’s consent?

    yes the land would be considered as an ancestral property as it has travelled undivided from your grandfather. The father cannot gift the property to anyone of you without the consent of other legal heirs as the property in the hand of the father is inherited property and not self acquired property
