Received a legal notice from employee demanding money for not servicing notice period.

Question

I had to resign from a company due to personal reasons after 4 days of joining and did not serve completely 3 months of notice period as per the offer letter. My resignation was accepted though. I recieved 1 month of salary which is close to 127000. Recieved a legal Notice from the company demanding an amount of 2.4 lalhs for not adhering to the offer letter terms.

    You are required to respond to the demand notice appropriately stating that the resignation was accepted without any terms and conditions. If the notice period was not waived off, the same should have been communicated before acceptance of the resignation. moreover, you are advised to negotiate and return the money earned without working to repudiate their claim.
