420 case misguided in station and truned to cheque bounce

Question

Actually it was a case of cheating by impersonation and took material delivery and not returning material or money when approached policestation in station they called accused and got 1 postdated cheque and turned the case to cheque bounce case now police tell to persue cheque bounce case.

    Give another application to police station for registration of case under section 420 by mentioning that even their cheque were bounced and you can also file complaint under 138 of the NI act simultaneously
