Can I file contempt of court against police even after case closed in lokadalath
Question
Police arrested and remanded in 498A. 2 days in judicial remand. Later case settled and closed in lokadalath.
During arrest and remand police didn’t follow the rules and guidelines and also arrested mechanically.
I gave a complaint against the police regarding mechanical arrest and violation of rules and supreme court guidelines to the higher police officers, but higher police not taking any action.
1. Can I have any chance to file contempt of court against the police even after case closed in lokadalath?
2. Any other chance to file petition in high court to take departmental action against police even after case closed in lokadalath?
Please suggest, thanks in advance.

The police has performed their actions and if the matter has been settled in Lok Adalat then the FIR is required to be quashed on the basis of the compromise. Apprise the police regarding the settlement reached between the parties regarding the settlement of dispute. the complainant i.e. your wife would be required to make a statement before the police that in view of the compromise, she doesnt intend to proceed with the case or the only option is get the FIR quashed from the High Court by filling an appropriate petition for the quashing of FIR on the basis of the compromise between the parties.
