Job issue during COVID-19 lockdown

Question

i work for a company and my office is in Delhi but am a resident of Punjab. during this COVID-19 outbreak i came back to my family in punjab. now there is nation wide lockdown and state borders are sealed but my company is forcing me to join back in delhi. they have a office in punjab also but they dont have the permission to open offices. what are my legal options if they fire me.

    They cannot fire you since you are indisposed due to the corona virus because of which you are not able to travel inter-state. AS per the new government instructions, companies can open up with limited staff however if they are insisting on you to join back, you can represent against it citing the difficulties. Make the conversation regarding the difficulties being faced by you because of which you are not able to join via email. Further, if they dismiss you from the service, the terms and conditions of your appointment shall govern. Kindly share your appointment letter for further advice.

    You can send a legal notice if you are being terminated illegally and simultaneously file a complaint for violation of the government directive.
