married daughter’s share in fathers property
Question
I am a married woman and I am around 55 years old my residence is in ghaziabad district in U.P. The land that my father has, was inherited by him from his father and his father from his father. Now my father is selling that land and buying land in the name of his sons. Do I have any right on the remaining land? And do I have any right on the money from the land that has been sold?

If it is ancestral property, you have equal rights in the sale proceeds. if the father is not giving you anything, the sale can be challenged seeking partition of the ancestral land and granting you the share. if the father is buying the land in the name of your brothers, the sale deed can be challenged on the ground that there was no necessity for selling the ancestral land and depriving you from the share.
