Mixed marriage permission
Question
Hello everyone,
I am an 33 year old Indian resident living in Sweden. I have a work permit from Sweden and have an Indian passport. I am going to marry my fiancee who happens to be a Moroccan.
I would request some help from this community to do the deed successfully and in a timely manner 🙂
Based on the helpful and quite detailed posts earlier in the forum I have an idea of what documents I will need to go ahead with the marriage but still have some open questions surrounding some of the documents. As I am going to India in June month I want to get all my papers done back home so that I can come back to Sweden well prepared. Here is the list of documents I could figure out that I will need(please take a look at my questions in red):
1- A certificate of capacity to contract the marriage, issued by the embassy or consulate representing your country certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
#Where do I get this?
2- A copy of the certificate of divorce or the final decree of divorce in the case of a previous marriage
# Is it applicable as I am single
3- A certificate justifying your profession and your income;
4- A certificate of residence issued by the competent authorities of the host country, taking into consideration the validity period;
#Where do I get this?
5- Any justification for your Muslim confession;
#Where do I get this? If done by Indian embassy, can it be done in India or only Indian embassy in Morocco
6- An excerpt from the birth certificate conforming to the civil status booklet;
#Where do I get this?
7- A certificate of nationality issued by the authorities of your country or by the consular authorities accredited;
#Where do I get this?
8- A copy of the criminal record in case of birth in Morocco or the national criminal record (of the Ministry of Justice – Directorate of Criminal Affairs and Grace) in case of birth abroad;
#What kind of police check is acceptable in Morocco for Indian citizens. Local police station would suffice or they need it from a special authority?
9- A medical certificate;
10- A copy of the first page of the passport and the page certifying the date of entry in Morocco;
11- Four recent photos.
I am not sure which is the best suited and correct way for my situation.
It will be really helpful for me if you could address my questions or share your experiences with me.
Thank you

As regarding your queries,the documents which you have mentioned here, they would mostly be attested from the Indian Embassy. There are agents available in the market who would assist you to get these documents prepared. Usually you do not require an advocate for getting the notarisation etc to be done. For preparing these documents, there is a set format available with the embassy office as well. Contact at the Indian embassy.
