Non Payment of Gratuity

Question

I resigned from an IT firm in Chandigarh after being employed for 10 years on April 2 2020. The company owes me Gratuity which has not been paid until now.Every time I call the HR cites financial concerns. What action can be sought to procure the dues?

    Raise your issue to the Highest Level in the hierarchy mentioning clearly that they need to send a confirmation mail regarding the gratuity. If the liquid crunch is happening right now due to Covid, the company must give an undertaking that the gratuity will be paid at the earliest after the covid. furthermore, if that is not being done, shoot out a legal notice and if they still dont budge, file a suit for recovery of the money in the civil court.
