Petition for seizing the foreign passport

Hi all My friend is in a situation , please help and advise ! My friend is a Canadian citizen he has gone to india to respond to a non bailable warrant , during the process . The opposition party has filed another petition to seize my friends passport so that he cannot travel back to Canada . Please advise

    Your friend need to contest the application and submit bail bonds to the effect that whenever required he would make himself available to the courts at India and then it is the discretion of the court whether to seize the passport or not.
