PSC RANKLIST

Question

Sir, For a PSC post , in 2022 Hon. High court directed PSC to keep 15 vacancies from the rank list that was published in 2015 and the same cancelled in 2018. Out of 15 , only 5 candidates joined. Still 90 candidates remaining in that rank list , but for the 10 NJD vacancies PSC issued new notification. Is this legally questionable as 10 NJD vacancies should be filled from that Rank list ?

    As a matter of fact, without going through the decision passed by the Hon’ble High Court, it is not possible to give you the best advice however in this scenario, if the High Court had directed that the posts be filled from the earlier rank list, then file a contempt petition after issuing legal notice to the appointing authority.
