Recovering Money Lended to a Friend

Question

A friend borrowed money on the promise that he shall return it back within a month. However, it has been over 6 months he hasn’t turned up with the funds. He is not answering the phone calls either. The funds were transferred through RTGS and have supporting documents as proof. Can I file the police complaint? What are the legal options available?

    You cannot file police complaint as its  civil matter .  Your friend borrowed money with a promise to return it within six months but he hadn’t done it. You can file civil suit for recovery of borrowed amount with interest in civil court
