Screwed over
Question
After my father died, my mother owned as my legal guardian a big stake of his business. When the business was sold we got screwed over (We were paid much less than I would actually be entitled to) by my father’s brother who also owned a decent stake. Besides, the peace judge was also a friend of my family. Even the notary admitted that something went wrong. Can I do something about it?

Regarding this question I would advise you to get professional legal help since it depends on many factors.
An award may be challenged on substantive grounds, on the basis that the arbitral tribunal made a mistake of law or on the grounds of a mistake of fact. You mentioned that the judge was a friend of the family, so if you can prove it this might be a chance. It may be not that easy to challenge this as it might be too late, but it is worth a try.
What is your age now? Are You major i.e. have you attained majority in terms of Majority Act and have completed 21 years? if yes, then as per law you have right to challenge the execution of document and stated distribution or division or partition or inequal distribution of assets of business and properties. if required consult with detail.
