Terms of settlement agreement pending divorce proceedings
Question
I filed a divorce case on the grounds of cruelty which was withdrawn later on as compromise reached between me and my wife. we started living together. However once again the behaviour of the wife and interference by her parents became a huge problem and both of us started living separately. After much persuasion, when all efforts failed, I once again filed petition for seeking divorce however now once again the wife is ready to reconcile. we have a small child from the marriage and it is only for the sake of child that I agreed earlier for reconciliation and I can reconcile once again for the welfare of my child but what should be the terms and conditions of the settlement to protect my legal rights?
Answer ( 1 )
A reconciliation agreement can be entered between both the parties as to the terms agreed by both of them for the sake of children. Such agreement will contain clauses as regards the compromise e. g. A clause with regard to non interference by the parents of wife and husband, agree for meeting with family counselling, withdrawal of pending cases against each other, etc.
