If the parents-in-law have died without making any Will or gift etc then the widow would have equal share with the other siblings of the husband in the self acquired properties of the parents in law. Plus, she can also claim the share of her husband (had he been alive) from the ancestral properties. A suit for partition in that case can be filed if the parents in law have died intestate.
