Will I face any issue in my joining of central goverment job as I was once fined by RPF ?
Question
Sir, 5/6 years ago I had been fined rs 500 by RPF for carrying inflammable objects(some fireworks) in local train. They took me to their station and asked me details like my name, address, contact no. An entry was made in their diary. After that I paid the fine and I was released but I did not get any documents/ receipt regarding this.
Now I’m in dilemma as what to do with the attestation form of my government jobs. The questionnaire in the self declaration attestation form goes like this-
1) have you ever been arrested?
2) have you ever been a subject to the criminal proceeding?
3) have you ever been kept under detention?
4) have any fir been lodged against you?
5) have you ever been convicted by a court of law for any offence?
If answer to any of these is yes, I have been asked to give full details.
Now what should I answer to these questions so that I don’t get caught for suppression of information?
Will I face any problem in my joining due to this case?
Please do help.

The imposition of Fine for carrying some substance does not amount to conviction as there is no Order of conviction passed by the Court. The answer to all the questions asked seems to the best of legal knowledge as NO so you can safely state that the same.
