Question
can a company ask for payment of days for which training was done and any legal fees to recover the money? The company is asking me to sign an agreement If we leave before a certain period?

Yes if the company has incurred expenditure for any skill development course or training for the purposes of the growth, then in that case, if you sign an agreement (in fact that is called as Bond) for example say for a period of 2 years, you cannot resign from the company then in that case, the company can seek that expenditure incurred on your training. That is permissible even from the decisions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
