Builder faulted in delivery, refund of money with interest

Question

I have booked a flat in the apartments   in the year 2016  which were under construction. At the time of booking builder told that flat will be completed in dec  2018 and possession will be handed over to me in Jan. 2019. I have entered into the agreement with the builder and paid the booking amount . During the last three  years i paid the entire consideration of the flat to the builder but till date he has not handed over the possession of flat. Now I do not want the flat and want my money back with interest.  How can I get back my money

    For getting your money, you need to first check if ur project is registered with RERA. if the project is registered with RERA authority then in that case u can file a complaint before the RERA authority claiming the refund with interest for default on the part of the builder in not completing the project. further, if the project is not registered with RERA then you need to file a consumer complaint before the appropriate forum as per the pecuniary jurisdiction of the Forum.
