Asus denied warranty within warranty period
Question
Hello Sirs and madams,
I have purchased a asus made graphic card from an it shop in bhubaneswar in march 2008. Product had three years warranty .it is also mentioned on the box itself.
In april 2020 the product stopped working. I checked the warranty on website it showed me product is out of warranty. As we are in lockdown at that time i mailed my issue to asus official.after many intervention and escalation by different officials one of them advised me to deposite the product at service center. In between they told me to contact seller if things get sorted out by seller end. But they also told me not to worry as they will talk with asus and sort out some solution. After some days i got response that the product is out of warranty as the last billing date to asus is before my purchase date.
I mailed again saying as it is not my fault and i have gst bill according to which i deserve warranty and getting service from company no one responded me for months.
Then i escalate the matter to consumer portal by calling them on toll free number.
They give me another asus escalation matrix mail id and told me to mail my issue with consumer complaint id mentioned on that mail.
Then i got one mail from asus side that they accepted warranty as a special case.
Now before two days i got a call that new graphics card ready for pick up.
When i visited service center they tried to give me an used graphic card with a printed serial number which is different from my original serial number and with out any packaging.
I am sure this is not a new product. Either they should repair my original card or replace it with new one.
So now i want to know should i accept the card without any warranty?
Or there will be any legal support for me to get justice?

You are advised to not accept the card and get a legal notice issued. If the issue is still not resolved then file a consumer complaint against Asus, your matter will surely get solved.
