Fitness Certificate of Private Vehicle

Question

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I own a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, and the same is registered as a private vehicle with RTO.

The office of the RTO is treating this private vehicle as a commercial/ transport vehicle and asking for a renewal of fitness every year.

Kindly enlighten me.

    If its private vehicle then there is no need to get certifucate every year. After the elapse of 15 years you have to get the fitness certifcate for renewal of rc of vehicle
