Refund from credit card as they charged with out any utilisation of funds
Question
I am using amex credit card and I used the card to purchase a product and I didn’t liked the product and and i returned the product with merchant with full refund. Marchant agreed and credited back the entire money which I took from credit card. Still my credit card company is charging me amount which I didn’t utilised

If you’ve returned a product, received a full refund from the merchant, and your American Express (Amex) credit card is still showing charges, you should not be liable to pay for a transaction that was reversed. You are advised to send a legal notice to Amex for unfair trade practice under Consumer Protection Act, 2019. after that file a complaint in the Consumer Forum claiming refund of wrongly charged amount along with compensation for mental harassment and legal costs. moreover, you may also escalate the wrong charges to Grievance Redressal Officer as provided by Amex on their website and simultaneously file a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman via RBI’s CMS Portal: https://cms.rbi.org.in
