How to buy a used car from a different state than the car actually registered in?

Question

I am a resident of West Bengal. I want to buy a car registered in Rajasthan. Can I buy that car with my documents such as Adhar card, PAN card? I do not have any local address proof in Rajasthan. This is actually my friend’s car.

    yes you can buy that car with your documents. apply for NOC from that state RTO regarding the purchase etc and Once the car is delivered in your state, you can apply with the current state RTO for registration in your name in your city. the usual charges will have to be paid. You would be required to inform later to the Rajasthan RTO regarding transfer of vehicle from one state to another.
