Status of the Advance Payment for purchase of Furniture
Question
Advance payment to Interior Design Company was given to get the furniture prepared for our house. Although I have the receipt there is no signed contract. The company is not responding ever since. I fear if the company goes bankrupt what will happen to my money.

If you have the receipt and the company is not picking up the calls or not even responding to your emails, file a criminal complaint of cheating and fraud after sending a message to the concerned person giving an ultimatum to pick up the calls or contact back. If they dont respond then initiate criminal action against them because most likely it may be a fraud company and after taking the money and issuing receipts, they vanish.
